The purpose and point of this thread is to discuss
and to learn and to teach the commandments of Jesus Christ
to those who want to read and participate. I will go through the
new testament and take
them one by one.

We will start with this.

John, Chapter 14, 15: If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John, Chapter 14, 21: He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John, Chapter 15, 10: If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

The first name that God gave me is Stephen.

You may call me, Stephen.

If you would like to be my friend or have bible study or anything
that I can do to help you bless the name of the Lord.

I will do so if it be in my power and authority.

Yours truly,
Stephen

Stephen. It is good that you are motivated by the desire to help people bless the name of the Lord. Rather than enter a structured Bible study it might be better to discuss what you think is important. The commandments of Christ are vital for our Christian walk. And foremost among these is the command to love one another. Obviously is not law or the keeping of commandments that saves us, but we cannot be saved without this. In other words the faith in Christ that saves us is only genuine if our life-response is faithfulness to what Christ wants of us.

Any time you obey any commandment of Jesus Christ it will save you from committing sin. The Commandments of Jesus Christ is the Christ. it is right there in your bible in the book of John.

Please explain to me how you can follow Jesus
and not obey His commandments?

Then please explain to me how you can have faith
and not obey the Commandments of Jesus Christ?

The works of faith is obedience to
the Commandments of Jesus Christ.

Which is the new covenant.

True or false?

I will help anyone
who wants to obey
the Commandments of Jesus Christ.
And become a
disciple of Jesus Christ.

I will help anyone
who wants to repent from sin
and walk in the Light.

Commandment of Jesus Christ

Forsake all you have...

Luke, Chapter 14, 33: So likewise,
whosoever he be of you that forsaketh
not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

Hi Stephen,

I don't think that anyone here would dispute the necessity of following the commandments of Christ.

I am not posting them on here for anyone to dispute them.

Commandment of Jesus Christ

Work not for the things of this world...

John, Chapter 6, 27: Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the
Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.

Stephen.

The valid point that BDW makes is that all the quotations about keeping the commandments of Christ are not controversial, but nor do they seem to lead to any conclusions that are not obvious. I have been waiting for you to continue whatever argument you might be building. Perhaps you are going to say:

We must keep the commandments of Christ

X is a commandment

Therefore we must keep X.

But you have not yet developed such an argument.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was that I am to ask you,

if I have your permission to post all the commandments of Jesus Christ, one by one, one right

after another, with out no explanation, with out any argument, without anything else whatsoever.

Your answer?

Hi Stephen,

I think what the others are trying to say is this is a "Bible discussion" forum with emphasis on discussion.

Simply posting a bunch of quotes and nothing else doesn't really encourage any discussion.

No one here will disagree that following the commandments is something we should all strive to do

For by grace you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, having been created in Christ Jesus for good works that God prepared beforehand so we may do them Ephesian 2:8-10

The Commandments of Jesus Christ is the free gift of Salvation.

All you have to do is receive it.

How do you receive it?

YOU OBEY IT.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

How did the Lord God reply in this way to you? You might understand that we could be skeptical about this. We are instructed to test the spirits. You have given no indication of how to test your claim of receiving direct divine communication.

Stephen. If you continue to quote Scriptures without any explanation of what you infer from them then the value will continue to be very limited. We still don't know much about you. You are a male from San Antonio who claims to receive answers directly from God.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

How did the Lord God reply in this way to you?

Through the Holy Ghost.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

You might understand that we could be skeptical about this.

I know what you are going to say, and do, before you say and do.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

We are instructed to test the spirits.

I am not a spirit.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

You have given no indication of how to test your claim of receiving direct divine communication.

Why would you need one? You do not believe in the first place?

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

Stephen. If you continue to quote Scriptures without any explanation of what you infer from them then the value will continue to be very limited.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

I am not from San Antonio.  I am at San Antonio at the present time where the Spirit of the Lord has placed me.

I told the Lord God this you have said to me. His reply to me was...

who claims to receive answers directly from God.

If I had claimed that Satan also talks directly to me, you would believe it.  Satan does talk directly to me.

He may very well have also talked directly to you, but you would not have know it.

God talks to me every day.

In fact it was He who told me to answer all these stupid questions you asked me. Other wise I would have just ignored you.

Bible studies and exhortations

Do you see this word-------->exhortations?

I am exhorting you and anyone else who reads this thread

to obey the commandments of Jesus Christ.

And if the Lord be willing and keeps you from

doing anything stupid and evil.(like banning me or deleting the thread)

We will also have bible study...concerning them.

In the Lord's due time.  Not mine, but the Lord's due time.

The Lord told me again, to ask you again, if I have your permission

to do this here on your forum?

Your answer?

OK, that's enough. You've outstayed your welcome.
'Abba Antony said, "A time is coming when men will go mad, and when they see someone who is not mad, they will attack him saying, 'You are mad, you are not like us.'"'
